HP Folio 13-1020us Ultrabook Laptop Review & Price The HP Folio 13 is a solid machine with the features I needed. After trying out a MacBook Air, I decided that I wanted Windows. This “ultrabook” is very impressive, with design and build quality that compare favorably with the MBA. Features include two USB ports, HDMI port, Ethernet port, media card reader, headphone/mic jack and a very nice backlit keyboard. The keyboard is a pleasure to use, and the touchpad works very smoothly. The speakers have surprisingly good sound for a machine of this size. There is very little fan noise, except when the processor is under a heavy load. The machine certainly seems fast enough to meet my needs. I am using it with an Airport Extreme router, and wireless performance is excellent. Battery life is outstanding.
I would have preferred a matte finish on the display, rather than the glossy finish it has. This could be distracting if you have a light source directly behind you. But the display has good brightness, which cancels out most reflections. Sharpness and contrast are also good. The Folio 13 is not the lightest ultrabook available, but weight was not my primary consideration. I prefer a solidly built machine with the features I need.
The HP ultrabook is a beautiful machine with excellent ergonomics. I have used it for extended periods with no problem at all. I think HP has built a great ultrabook, and I am very pleased with it. (And HP shipped mine earlier than expected!) Review by Techman68

Sony Playstation PS3 3D Display Price & Review: I was very skeptical about 3D TVs, especially in regards to gaming, until I was able to spend some serious time with my PlayStation 3D Display. Let me start by saying, as a standard TV, I found the display to look amazing, has great sound for its small size (24 in.), and fits perfectly in my room. I love its sleek design and how it complements my PS3.
I played MotorStorm: Apocalypse (which is included in the display), Killzone 3, Shadow of the Colossus, and Gran Turismo 5 all in 3D and was thoroughly impressed with all the games. I found that in each game, the 3D illusion was subtle enough not to distract from the gameplay but prominent enough to have a visual impact. In Shadow of the Colossus especially, I found playing that in 3D completely changed how I viewed the game previously and really added to the already gorgeous visual style.
One negative is a lack of a remote but that is easily fixed with the great Bluetooth PS3 remote that now includes buttons to turn on/off the 3D mode. Another complaint is about the 3D glasses which are included with the display. For those who already wear prescription glasses, like myself, may find them more uncomfortable compared to Panasonic’s 3D glasses.
Overall, I think this is great product for its price. Not only is a great and underrated game included, but the 3D display makes an amazing looking standard TV as well. Add that with the vast library of 3D enabled games and movies, this is a must for anyone looking to break into the world of 3D entertainment! Review by madtyger
